Scoreyard Partnership

Monday, March 7th, 2011

Today we’re announcing our partnership and collaboration with the Des Moines-based sports start-up, Scoreyard.

Remember the days of the past when a coach would set up a phone tree to notify parents if your child’s sporting event was rained out, or to communicate about practice schedules?  Have you ever wanted to share the photos you snapped of the game winning shot to all the other parents?  Well, Scoreyard has your back.

ScoreYard Logo

Web Design and Graphic Identity

One 21 Labs has been working with the Scoreyard team to develop a new identity and refresh the websites user interface. The first task was to create a logo for the web site that would encompass all sports. The idea of the “water jug” came up, and we thought it was perfect.  Whether players are dumping it on top of a coach’s head after a huge win or someone is filling cups during the Boston marathon, you will always see the big orange jug in the background. We also worked on the website design and interactivity, working with the lead developer to implement features that improve the ease of use.

Register players online for any sports league

ScoreYard has developed an easy way for sports teams and leagues to take player registrations and payments online. This feature adds additional value to users beyond the social elements that let people connect and converse with other players, teams, fans, etc.

We are excited to be working with Scoreyard and we encourage you to check out their league registration tools as a better way to manage your sports league.

Check it out at www.scoreyard.com (and if you’re a foursquare user, you can check-in to games via Scoreyard too!).
